Bay County Greens and Unitarian Universalist Invite Public to View Documentary
--"Six Fairy Tales of Growth in Florida " and Phantom Future --
Panama City -- As part of an on going monthly series. The Bay County Greens and The Unitarian Universalist invite the community to a showing of "Six Fairy Tales of Growth in Florida " and Phantom Future at 7 pm on May,10 th, 2006. These two short documentaries should help educate locals on the potential outcome of development we are now experiencing; as shown through the experiences of other communities in Florida.
"Six Fairy Tales of Growth in Florida"
Traces the selling of Florida since the 1950's using archival footage from the University of Florida. Interviews people around the state on the impact to their communities and their water supply by rapid growth and our growing dependence on the construction industry as an economic underpinning.
. Phantom Future
This video makes the connection between Florida's rampant population growth, our water shortages and the degraded water quality in our aquifers and coastal waters, and identifies the principal growth factor of Florida's population growth --- international immigration.

The Show starts at 7 pm and will be followed by a discussion period for those interested in staying. Beverages and snacks will be provided but feel free to bring your own.
The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship is located at 1410 Airport Road at the intersection of Lisenby Avenue and Airport Road just one block north of 23rd Street in Panama City, Florida. The Green Party of Bay County is a Chartered as a State and Nationally recognized Political Party.
