This is for those of us who save up hazardous materials and wait for this day. The county guys are psyched to receive this in one place, and are quite heplful, unloading, etc. Since the county for some reason cannot institute curbside recycling, this is a welcome program. Gert rid of that stuff that's hanging around the house, especially all those batteries that end up in that box.

I am in the process of cleaning out an OLD shed and was very happy to see that this was so soon. It would be great though if they could have a curbside service once a month.

agreed, i can not use both pickup days for regular garbage pickup and would gladly exchange one(or three) of them for recycling. can't figure out lack of recycling in such an afluent area. wait maybe that's it, we're too rich and preoccupied to recycle...

Gotta agree about the batteries, especially car batteries. I am thinking they have quite a bit of lead in them. :(

so, like last time, the recycling area was busy, cars lined up to drop off stuff. you pull up and the county gents unload it for you to it's designated area. Losts of oil, batteries, paint, and electronics. palletsful. i asked where it was going, and was told tally. wasn't able to find out if was state or private. i grabbed some ram out of the computer this gent was working on.
