Accident Today (4/2/06)

Can anyone tell me about the accident in Seacrest today? We heard a bunch of emergency vehicles. Then when we went to Panama City today to get supplies for our "chore list," in the front yard of a house between Emerald Waters Realty and Magnolia we saw an overturned vehicle that had flipped and appeared to have fire damage.

I was riding my bike by there soon after it happened and was down by Camp Creek Parkway when the helicopter landed there to take the driver to the hospital. The officer there said that it appeared the driver started veering off the road then must have over-corrected and flipped the vehicle. They also said the driver was stable at the time.

Seeing that kind of thing sure makes you think about how quickly things can happen doesn't it? I sure hope the guy is okay.

Glad to get this report....we were westbound on 98 when the eastbound emergency vehicles went by & it just made us sick....such a bummer thing to see after spending a glorious day on 30A....do hope and pray the driver is ok....

About half an hour after all the sirens went by, I went to Pt. Wash to dump the recycling and discovered a small fender-bender at the 395/98 intersection. Luckily all seemed well there, except for business for a body shop. Was glad to see that whatever happened, it wasn't there. New lights or not, I fear we're not through with ugly wrecks there.
