• Schippers Marine contract changed to include reconstruction of the last two accesses damaged in Hurricane Ivan
• County Road 283 Realignment at U.S. Highway331
• Designation of portion of U.S. 98 as “Henry Koerber Memorial Boulevard”
• Lease agreement between Walton County and Charles S. Ryan for commercial property in Freeport
• States Attorney agreement for prosecution of county ordinances

Committees and boards
• Committee was formed to survey and nix the unnecessary crosswalks, signage and speed bumps on old U.S. Highway 98
• Committee formed to look at lighting issues
• New appointments made to Transportation Planning Organization Bicycle Committee, Competency Board, ADA Committee and Council of Aging.

• Proposal for affordable modular housing and factory at Mossy Head Industrial Park
• Purchase of D&D Pet Motel as a temporary animal shelter
• Purchase of the old Wal-Mart building, appraisals were accepted
• Possibility of a Sheriff’s Office traffic unit and citation officer
• Possibility of abolishing permitting for barns and sheds
• $10,000 donated to DeFuniak Little League if county can match it, will look for funds ion budget
• Possibility of adding a Neighborhood/Community Planner position

Public hearings scheduled
• Public hearing April 26 for Construction Parking Amendment to section 20-10, Walton County Code of Ordinances
• White Sand Protection Amendment to the Land Development Code

The next scheduled Board of County Commissioners meeting will be a land use meeting April 5 at 5 p.m. at the South Walton Courthouse Annex.

I was just thinking the same thing. It was easy for me to envision. I will read the minutes when they are put on paper.

Ive heard that they're eliminating the the east-west jog on 331 in Freeport to make it a straight shot down to the beaches but was wondering if anyone knows how theyre gonna do it? Assuming they'll keep the same exit off I-10 and arc it into south 331. :idontno:

It will straighten just North of the high school and South of Owl's Head into the existing intersection in East Freeport.
