Have you ever wondered why there is such animosity between conservatives and progressives? Each side seems to be absolutely sure of the correctness of their own viewpoint and can't imagine how the other side comes to such ridiculous conclusions. Take an hour and listen to UC professor George Lakoff describe the reason.

As a progressive myself, I found that I had more compassion for the conservatives after listening to Lakoff.
I believe that what we need more than anything in the world is justice and compassion. Well . . . maybe one more thing . . . we also need to give up on the expectation that there's only one right answer--ours.
