How do you draw that angry conclusion from the article? Seems like you have a lot of issues with a religion that has matured to the point where disagreement is not resolved by decapitation. Glory halleljah to that.

If you don't see that man's predicament as a problem, well then, you may be part of the problem. That vet is being targeted because of religion.

I feel like there is more to the story, but also know that there are MANY people on that #$R@* list for no REAL reason and who can't get off it!

It's just more incompetence...fueled by irrational fear.

Did ya'll see the news story about the three people with the same name who are on "The List"; one is a pilot, another a 7 year old, who has been on the list since he was 5...his Mom has found ways around the list so that they can travel.

Amazing!

I had an odd feeling seeing them as a couple...something doesn't fit and her body language didn't seem truthful. Anyone else see that?

Yes, totally. These people are obviously hiding something- probably terrorists!
We need to leave them on the list to ensure this guy can't get a job!

The "problem" Bob is that you take a story which could be the result of less sinister (and more plausible) reasons and turn it into a hate filled tirade against Christians, Southerners and Republicans. I could care less about your religion, heritage or political affiliation, I'm just stating the obvious conclusion that you seem angry for reasons unrelated to the link. But hey, if it's therapeutic for you, carry on.

I'm certain Geo that you will be just as fervent in your scrutiny and criticism when this becomes Obama's list.

Bob's point (as I saw it anyway) was that apparently the ONLY reason this man and his wife are on the list is because their religion is Islamic.

Can you imagine the outrage if Islamic nations had a "list" of all the Christians and were restricting their travel?

Barbaric but probably a more effective means of travel restrictions than the one currently in use in the US. Funny, I missed the outrage from you.

Yes, my frequent condoning of rape and murder and calls for religious intolerance are well known on Sowal .

If only the US were doing something to help with the sectarian and religious violence in Iraq - maybe we could even send some troops to restore order and try to get them equal representation in the new democratic government!

Are you somehow implying that our mistreatment of Muslims in this country is somehow payback for atrocities committed against Christians in other countries? That's what it sounds like to me. Do you really expect to maintain credibility when you site terrorist behavior as a standard for behavior in this country? Of course we're more outraged when our government persecutes people, we expect better and it's happening HERE!

Yep. Sure will...

I will cry BS on our gov't-
irrespective of who leads it (or how much I like them)
when they are doing wrong...

I have a hard time taking seriously a lecture on religous tolerence from a guy named Lucifer (regardless of how much I like Pink Floyd).

or perhaps you can stop with the romanticizing of Islam while supporting Bob's attack on Christianity. Bob's suggestion that the US is now a bastion of religous intolerence is so specious, it's laughable. You follow up Bob's gem with the profoundly ignorant assertion that we would be "outraged" if Christians were treated to travel restrictions in Muslim countries (I bet Christians in the Middle East would gladly accept the restrictions in exchange for the reprieve from suicide bombings and beheadings).

Nah, I'm guessing some really smart computer geeks who figure they can make a really quick (and large) buck selling the info to a source.

You know, it could be the almost-fired librarian, or the moose rights group (No Nooses for Loose Mooses), or maybe her ex-bro in law. ;-)

The jokes are funny but it's twisted that someone actually hacked into her email accounts. Everyone wonders why candidates for office in this country are so ill prepared and unqualified, why we have so much corruption from members of both parties, why the current President and Congress have some of the lowest approval ratings in history, and why the country just seems genuinely screwed up. If you're a decent, intelligent, successful person, would you subject yourself and your family to this kind of garbage by running for office? Only someone completely immune to embarrassment and humiliation like Bill Clinton can stand for it.

You quoted something I said a while back which is still true-

Yep. Sure will...

I will cry BS on our gov't-

when they are doing wrong...

Are you asking me to read something that some democrat did that is BS and call them out on it? I'm glad to...

So what's your point?

Geo

FullTime,

There is another thread about the Palin e-mail hacking but I will respond here because you pulled me in...

You said you were waiting for Obama supporters to call BS that her e-mail got hacked...

So here it is-

It is BS that someone hacked her e-mail account...
Whoever did this should be punished...

Palin shouldn't be using Yahoo for gov't business- that is of course, not the point here...

So no need to wait around anymore for Obama supporters to call BS on this. I just did...

For what? Be specific because I don't know what you are talking about. I wouldn't care either but you quoted me and seem to be using me as an example...

What are you saying?

I know many who have served our country proudly after many wars and they feel vey patriotic. Which one are you referring to? It's all about attitude.

I believe Bob was referring to the person the thread is actually about - a 13 year veteran of the US armed forces who is now a civilian pilot .............and in danger of losing his job because he's on the "list."
