Beach Access at Inn at Blue Mt. Beach ?

A close friend of mine says the public access along side the Inn at Blue Mt. Beach has the bottom three steps missing and they appear to have been cut off, apparently to keep people from using the access. He stated there is no way one could get up or down with a cooler for instance. Does anyone know anything about this situation?

Andy; No one cut the stairs. The sand at the stairs washed to a lower level after the stairs were installed, as sand is known to do. Anyone can access the beach, its just tougher if you want to bring a bunch of junk on the beach with you.

Thanks, Jack S, for the answer which certainly makes sense. I was going to walk down and look for myself when the weather got a bit nicer but now, thanks to you, there really is no need. Not that I could do anything about the situation, anyway.
