There is HOPE!!! It has abated and I think the sky is clearing! If the sun comes out it will be another steam bath outside....you won't even have to get in the gulf.

Waves are huge. Wind was blowing above tropical storm force. Bet there is a lot of beach debris blown around. One tent frame is destroyed that was left out. Another reason why stuff should not be left out. Good thing some have picked up. Haven't walked down to outfall yet, but looks like some good washover into the coastal lake near me. Lake level went up a few inches with event.

If you got what we got last night it was a big un! Both dogs were so close to me I thought that they were attached! Major rain, wind, thunder & lightning!

I heard that SoWal could use the rain though so I hope my old yard was soaked...:wave:

IBD. I must have slept through the one last night. We were hit on Eastern Lake around 7 a.m. A smaller squall is coming through right now at 8:47 a.m. It should reach Inlet Beach in about one minute.

Had it bad out here in the NoWal woods last nite too. Scary lightning and lost power for almost 2 hours (no power = no water) Downpour going on right now, but thank God no lightning!!!
