Does anyone know what the occasion was that prompted such a large freworks show tonight in Seagrove in front of One Seagrove Place?
It seemed to last as long or longer than a typical 4th of July show. They were the professional type fireworks and were pretty amazing.

It was magnificent! People were stopping their vehicles on the side of 30A in awe, clapping and cheering. There must have been many hundred thousands of dollars worth of fireworks. It was exponentially better than Atlanta's 4th of July fireworks.
Who did it? Thank you.

We live in Grove by the Sea and were out walking our dogs. At the first boom, our black lab bolted. With his leash still attached, he took off like a bullet-my husband finally caught up with him way over in Nature Walk. yikes
But they certainly were spectacular, weren't they? Somebody dropped a few coins for that display.

We saw them from the parking lot of Publix, clear as could be and still loud. That was easily the most spectacular display I've ever seen. We finally left, only to have Fuzz slam on the brakes and whip back around on 395 ("Holy sheet, dear, you gotta see this!") for the finale.
But we've been perplexed as to why there were fireworks tonight...I take it this isn't a weekly Saturday nite occurence (remember I live on the north side of 98) in Seagrove/Seaside/Watercolor?

Not only was it a big and long show, those were some REALLY high-quality fireworks. I saw stuff tonight I've never seen. And new colors like pale lime green, too. Wow.

HOA had some excess funds to blow and the blue hairs needed some excitement.

Nope. The usual vacationer stuff is obviously the standard Publix combo pack.

There was a large party for a woman in Seagrove last night. The story, as told to my husband, the woman told her husband that she wanted a huge fireworks display when she died. He thought it would be a bigger gesture to do it while she is still around to see them. He hired the same company that did the fireworks in DC. There was a barge out inthe Gulf.

Who was the party girl?
I'm going to tell Mr Seagrover that the husband did it for his wife's birthday and that HE didn't forget his wife's birthday!!!!!!
I just sat up in bed and watched - it was a perfect spot to see out of my window - it was an awesome display!!!
Hey neighbor, deborsk - didn't realize Ace went so far last night!!! How did his Daddy manage t keep up with him in the dark? He is black as coal and in the dark, I would have never found him!!!

I do know a wonderful lady that lives right in that area and WAS having a Birthday yesterday. It sounds like something her hubby would do. I also couldnt think of a more deserving person. But I also know of a young lady that is going away to Gainesville next week whose parents rented a house in that area for her going away party. They are big fireworks fans too and ALWAYS go all out for that very special young lady.
I know I heard them all the way over here in SRB and I thought maybe Eglin had sent their planes over the wrong area to drop some bombs. Now I wish I had ran over there to see what was up. Dang.
