RIP.
listening to the Atlanta Braves will not be the same. as a little girl, visiting my grandparents in mcdonough georgia, we would listen to the games and at night after a long day of swimming, i would easily fall asleep listening to him.

I was talking to a buddy about this tragic news earlier today. I told him about my favorite professional sports moment of all time. No other moment comes close to this one for me. Just found it and listened for the first time since it was live:

Got goose bumps when I listened. The "safe" call is etched in my brain forever as I was sitting in my parked Jeep with a death grip on the steering wheel. Sid Bream may have been the slowest MLB baseball player in the history of the game. I distinctly remember wondering why Cox had not pulled Bream for a pinch runner. Knowing what we know now, I'm so glad he did not! This video link was obviously the radio call by Skip as this game was a network NLCS broadcast. The greatest of all time in my opinion! RIP Skip and thanks for the memories that will live forever.

Whether listening in my den, my car, on the water or on the radio while sitting in Fulton County or the TED, Skip was always a pleasure. The Bream call is one of my all-time favorite moments and that call will be with us always. He will truly be missed.
