Hi Folks,

Amory and I are planning to move to Georgia in September and are selling the restaurant. We have been in business for 3 years and have grown a great little business thanks to our wonderfully loyal customers.

We are only asking $74k for the entire business. The restaurant could be easily grown by introducing delivery, extending business hours, and enclosing the porch for winter dining. If you are interested in details, please PM me. I will be happy to provide additional info.

It has been a great business for us and we would like to see it go on!

Thanks!!!

Oh Olive, I wish I was the one typing that I was moving to Georgia. As much as I love, love, love it here, my children are missing the benefit of being raised around cousins, aunts, uncles, & grandparents. I suspect that is one of your reasons too. Good luck to you and your family. Any way you could just expand and have Amores in two locations???

I can see the advertising campaign now!;-)

Take care!

I am sad to hear this. I was hoping for some Amore pizza in October. Best of luck to you & your family. And if you open up an Amore in Georgia, let us know. I could have another reason to visit my friends in Woodstock!

Sad to read, but thanks for sharing with us, directly, rather than having us learn through the grapevine. You guys are welcome to come back and visit anytime. Make sure we get your contact numbers when you settle back in GA. We love you guys, and the restaurant, too!

Thanks everybody!

It was a difficult decision but, at this time in our lives, we think it is important to be close to our families.

We do hope to open another restaurant in Georgia eventually. Have to get settled first. Am is considering a brew-pub in Valdosta!!!

Thanks for all the kind words and I hope we can find a buyer that will keep the dream alive!!!

congratulations to your family olive. the move is a new and exciting chapter in your lives. we're all proud to know you and amory, and thanks for all the outstanding pizzas we've enjoyed over the last few years, and the funn we've had celebrating birthdays, etc. we'll see ya at the restaurant asap, and often, until you are gone... and hopefully someone will buy it up and continue the tradition.

good job ya'll!

amore' has to stay open or jdarg won't have any place to celebrate her bday... okay, who is going to buy it and learn the art of amory's pizza?

I have to say that I know y'all are sad to lose Olive et al.

BUT Maeby, TravelRN and the rest of the fam are VERY excited to have them home!!

It would be great if someone could keep the pizza dream alive for when we come back to SoWal though!

We are excited to have them back home. We've been missing too many Dodie milestones. I'm pretty sure she's taller than me now. :D

Wishing all 3 of you the very best and I will miss my first stop to Amore' when I am down there, but I understand completely the reasons.

Amore' was the only place on a stay in SoWal we were sure to visit multiple times.

SoWal's loss will be Valdosta's gain. It has been such an honor to know you and Amory and now little Doris and to count you as friends. We will be back in mid August so we will visit then .

I somehow missed this thread. I'm glad I made it to Amores on our last trip down! I try different pizzas up here but nothing compares. Good luck on your move!

Any takers on the restaurant?
