Hello Friends of South Walton!

US98 Soccer Club is a Non-Profit, Community-Based and Community-Run Organization, dedicated to the healthy and educational betterment of the Youth of South Walton through the promotion of The Beautiful Game, Soccer!

Sponsorships played an important role in US98 Soccer Club's ability to provide a successful Spring Super Cup 2008 Season. With Sponsors, Alys Beach, Cafe Rendezvous, For the Health of It, Good Millwork, Panama City Pirates, Red Bar, and T.Massey, providing investments to go along with registration fees (and without any financial assistance from the county), we were able to convert a football field into a much needed soccer complex for our first Spring Season! Registrations and sponsorships helped by paying for field paint, replacing old and over-used nets, purchasing corner flags and whistles, providing shirts for training and matches, providing concessions for everyone to purchase, providing compensation for referees, providing Certificates of Participation for every Player, purchasing some of the best looking Cup Trophies I have ever seen, further developing Our website, and covering the expenses involved in organizing, running, and managing an 8 week plus season.

Our Fall Season is around the corner and the challenges are still the same, in fact bigger. We will have to purchase many of the items purchased in the Spring, along with new goals to replace relatively old and broken ones, new balls to supplement our dwindling supply, full kits (shirts, shorts, and socks) for our Youth to look and feel their best in, and any additional items that will be needed as we inch closer to closing the deal on new field space on the Eastern side of South Walton. All this with no guarantee of financial assistance from Walton County.

So I ask anyone interested in helping us, helping our Youth, to consider your sponsorship, involvement, and commitment for this US98 Soccer Club's Fall 2008 Champions League Season. Attached you will find three different Sponsorship Packages for you to choose from, should you decide to throw your support behind what we are doing in South Walton.

I wish we did not have to depend so much on Sponsors for our seasons, but in a way, I think it will make this program that much stronger, that much less dependent, that much more an integrated part of Our Community, and that much more likely to look for better ways to run Youth Soccer in South Walton. Our independence so far, along with many other attributes, certainly makes us unique, in a good way, on the Local Youth Sports landscape.

I appreciate your time and your consideration, and I hope you will join us in celebrating "The Beautiful Game" and Our Youth's enjoyment of it this Fall.

The season starts September 20th, so to ensure your Sponsorship is in place for our First Match, please contact us as soon as possible regarding a contribution. Do not forget, we are a non-profit organization, and your contributions are therefore tax deductible.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.

Hello Again Greater South Walton Soccer Advocates!

US98 Soccer Club is excited to announce the updating of our website to not only include on-line Registration (http://us98soccer.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=29&Itemid=41 (http://us98soccer.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=29&Itemid=41)),
but also the inclusion of our on-line Sponsorship Form sign-up capability, http://us98soccer.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=32&Itemid=42 (http://us98soccer.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=32&Itemid=42).

As I have mentioned before, we are truly a Community-Run and Community-Driven, Non-Profit Soccer Organization, and Our Community's support is vital to the existence and evolution of what we are able to offer Our Youth here in South Walton.

On that note, I ask that everyone save the date and make plans to attend the next Parks & Recreation Meeting on August 18th at 6:00PM at the Armory in Defuniak Springs. Here is a map that may be assistance in helping you get there: http://market.emeraldcoast.com/Florida+National+Guard.9.12479940p.home.html (http://market.emeraldcoast.com/Florida+National+Guard.9.12479940p.home.html).

Soccer mostly exists on the periphery of the minds of those making the decisions in Parks & Recreation and Walton County, in large part because, even though soccer is one of the world's oldest sports and is the world's most popular sport, it is still considered a relatively new phenomenon in the United States and many people do not have much experience playing, watching, or participating in any way in the sport. But that is changing, no more dramatically than here in South Walton where we anticipate between 300-400 local youth participating this Fall Season. It is therefore essential that we have as many supporters as possible voice their opinion as effectively as possible to those on the Parks & Rec Board and to our County Commissioners, now and in the future. Our Soccer-Loving Youth must have the attention and consideration of the decision-makers in Our County.

There is a Soccer Evolution occurring in the Florida Panhandle, and You and US98 Soccer should and will be a significant influence on it! YOU CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE!!

SEE YOU OUT AT THE ARMORY!
