I posted this on the health board but thought it might be better here. (I don't know how to move a thread)
The Coosa River Challenge is the most fun you will have getting dirty and sweaty. This mini adventure race includes mtn biking, trail running, paddling, rappelling, and a few mystery tasks thrown in to slow you down. It takes place in Wetumpka, Alabama on October 4th. I'm starting my training now! I did this race a couple of years ago and my coed team was winning until my partner sunk our canoe in a vortex:bang: and I nearly allowed him to drown BUT, I still had a blast and was very proud of our accomplishment (except that vortex thing)
Anyhooo, several injuries and pounds later, I'm signing up and going for it. If anyone is interested in spending hours pounding the pavement, pedaling, paddling or lifting weights to get ready, let me know.
If you are interested, check out the website http://www.coosariverchallenge.com/ it really is a lot of fun!:lolabove:
