Hillary's comment about RFK's assassination in the 1968 campaign as a reason to stay in the race is mind boggling. Surely the assassination which occurred June 8, 1968 was the main factor in Hubert Humphrey getting the nomination. Did she mean history could repeat itself and Obama might be killed thus enabling her to be the nominee ? This was one of the stupidest comments I have ever heard !!!

Ugh! I heard the whole clip and I think she has gone off the deep end! I think she is tired and revealed part of her "strategy" or at least what is going on in her head, without meaning to. Just more insight into the Clinton mentality.

You know, I really like many of her policies and think she could do a good job, in general. But I could not bring myself to vote for her, because of the scary person she occasionally reveals herself to be.

I am a long time Progressive/Liberal and was formerly a Hillary supporter....the Clinton's are an embarrassment to the Democratic Party and their true colors are now starting to come through in this, their last, desperate attempt to hold onto power.....it is so sad to me that I DO NOT WANT HER EVEN ON THE TICKET!!!!

I was just listening to Keith Oberman on MSNBC......his commentary on Clinton's obscene comment was blistering. You must see the replay tonite...it is blistering. I believe next week there will be an outpouring from democrats for her to immediately get out of the race. She will never be selected to be the vp nominee....not after these disgusting remarks !!!

I can't imagine Team Billary running around the White House and not being in charge. What a nightmare that would be ...

She was trying to make the point that the Democratic nominee hasn't been decided upon until June in several cases, including in her own husband's campaign and (in light of the Kennedy family being on many people's minds) in that of Robert Kennedy. Of course she would acknowledge the tragedy of the latter. It's understandable that those two examples would be foremost on her mind ... and for reasons not as is being implied. IMO, that is.

I'm with you on this one...
I don't think she implied that someone would off Obama...
What's the big deal?

I will be charitable and say maybe that is true. But when you listen to the comment and in view of her past comments about RFK and JFK's assassinations, I think not. It was a crass and disgusting thing to say....and I am sure it was VERY calculated. She is evil personified.

I missed (didn't really miss it, just didn't hear it) Hillary on that one, but I think she must be spending too much time with former D.C. Mayor, Marion Barry, hitting the crack pipe.

or watching too many episodes of the Sopranos.

Seriously though, I can't see how she is going to back peddle out of this one, regardless of the rest of the context of her speech. It was just uncalled for, period.
