From News Ch 7 Panama City (http://www.wjhg.com/home/headlines/19151394.html)
"Gate Bite" (I think they meant to write, "Gator Bite.")
Vernon teenager is recovering after a gator bit him Wednesday morning in Vernon.
A woman was getting her children ready to board the school bus when they saw a four foot gator in the yard. The woman called the Washington County Sheriff's Dept in Chipley who told her to leave it alone.
Still afraid, she called her 16 year old neighbor to help. And, when teenager went to grab the gator, it bit him on the left hand. The boy was taken to the hospital in Chipley but is at home now.
A Florida Fish a Wildlife trapper took the gator away and says it likely came from nearby Holmes Creek.
The F-W-C reminds people this is the second incident like this in a week. Its gator mating season, too.
Please remember, if you see a gator in your yard, contact the F-W-C 888-404-3922 and let the professionals take care of it.
