Been coming that way for some 30+ years, renting, then bought #102 at Inlet Dunes several years ago, then bought 57 W Park Place two years ago and now we are there lots...have wife, 7 yr old son, two older sns with families and we all try and get there together now and then....love the food at various restaurants, SoWal in general, beach life, water life, warm sunny days, have n older Corgi....be there soon...can't wait.

So, you there, too? Obviously....awful lotta nice people that way...met some, hope to keep the area low key, safe, quiet...we live in Memphis, TN, Home of Tiger basketball and the KING, so the drive is demanding, 8.25 hrs...but WTH, worth every second, $5 gas or not....anyway, we leave Friday early, at least boy-o and I do, wife follows via air Sunday (she's an active OB/GYN). What's the news? Haven't been there since T'day Nov. 07.

Have a safe drive down. Last Sat. I drove up to N Alabama and the traffic was unbeleivable on Hwy 55.....there was a cop at the 4 way stop in Georgianna directing traffic. It was backed up all the way to the interstate (65). Have never seen it like that. Hopefully you'll beat the weekend traffic by leaving on Friday. Good luck:D
