Help!! Mr. Critter just started great new job in Destin, and is expected to know his way around Outlook and Excel, which would be akin to him knowing his way around, say China or Jupiter. He's a smart guy and a fast learner. Anyone willing to tutor him for a few hours on the basics of these? If interested, please PM me with rates and your schedule ASAP. He is currently living in Sandestin area. If you're also a Crackberrry addict, all the better! :D

I don't know how much time your husband has but Microsoft has free tutorials for both at: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/training/HA102255331033.aspx

Also, from that site you can download free 30 or 60 day trials of the programs to try out. Both are pretty easy if he has ever used any Microsoft program (Word for example) Both also have some neat "tricks" that he can learn from the tutorials. I think any program is easier to learn if you just use it on your own for a bit. I love Excel! Outlook is great for an office with several people trying to coordinate schedules and communicate.

Hope this helps.

Youtube has become a free resource for tutorials on these programs
See this one here and do a search for any specific or basic instructions for what you want to learn

Thank you both for great options that would most certainly work for anyone who was less computer-phobic  than my husband. What we probably need most is someone who will sit with him and the laptop and go through the actual document process that he'll be using. In our previous work lives, I was the office/computer person and he spent all his time in the field. This job requires the field, plus proficiency in Microsoft. I think his brain is too fried to learn from online tutorials right now, but once he gets more comfortable, they will certainly come in handy. In fact, I'm going to use the ones you've suggested to brush up on my own skills. Thanks much.

Also, we don't necessarily need someone who does computers for a living. A student or stay at home mom or anyone with proficiency in these programs would be great. We'll pay the prevailing hourly rate.
