OMG. I have become addicted to watching all of the political news I can, and no one I've heard has mentioned this possibility. But you are so right -- Hillary is so determined that I could so see her doing this.
I know that all of the McClain people out there are licking their chops.

Isn't she out of money yet?

Well, she and Bill have made over 100 million over the past few years, so I don't think they're hurting. And that money will keep coming in due to the huge amounts that Bill gets for speaking engagements.
I've also heard on CNN that she might run for governor of NY in order to get some administrative experience.

Then she should be able to pay her own campaign bills without Obama's aid.
Boy. Wouldn't that be an eye opener if he helped her with campaign debts and she turned around and ran as an Independent! .. Someone's just stirrin' the pot with this thread. .;-) . It's not gonna happen!

So she'll be ready for the next presidential race? Maybe it'll be "Hil in 2012". Hummm the Mayan calender ends in 2012. Also 2012 has been pinpointed for future "cosmic activity" (see X Files) that some believe will create pole shifts resulting in global cataclysm that same year.
Hillary president in 2012...connection, coincidence?? Discuss amongst yourselves. :floor:

Hillary is all about having power, so there is no way in heck that she will give up the real power of a Senator, in order to be Governor.
What's wrong with a candidate paying for their election out of their own pocketbook? I thought the positive side of doing so, was that there were fewer promises to keep.
As for Hillary running as an Independent, I don't see it happening.

She is running independently, independently of the Democratic party!

I guess the same could be said of John McCain and the GOP. I actually heard the other day, that McCain had considered switching to the Dem Party some years ago.

Why is it always assumed that contributions incur debt by the politician? I am finding that most people just want to be part of the process. I have yet to be asked for anything other than to return phone calls. Something I will do with or without a contribution.

With which Independent Party do you think she will run? Bob Barr will beat the pants off of her in the Libertarian Party. Maybe she would fair well in the Communist or Socialist Parties.
