Publix has been selling gas at their Casselberry location for at least 2 years...it's called Pix

Not sure what the Publix pricing will be; but here we buy gas at Kroger and Schnuck's grocery.

You get a discount for being a grocery customer and having a store card and the prices are the best in our area.

Is it competitive? My sister gets her gas at price club with a price club card, the only way one can purchase. It is cheaper.

yes, the prices are good, and you get a discount if you show a receipt with a minimum purchase of groceries.

yes, the prices are good, and you get a discount if you show a receipt with a minimum purchase of groceries. That sounds back@ssward. If I were shopping at Publix for gas and groceries, I would buy my gas prior to my groceries, so the cold groceries don't get hot while sitting in the car for that much longer. Maybe they should look at giving you a break on your grocery cost after showing the gas receipt.

Maybe they should look at giving you a break on your grocery cost after showing the gas receipt. They give you a piddly 3 cents/ gallon discount[25 dollar purchase?], but I think you don't have to have a receipt for the current day. I throw the receipts in a cupholder.

I don't see anything wrong with this. As Minnie said Kroger and Schnucks (sp?) have done it for years. It's all about conveince.
