The cold weather is pushing hard from the north. Currently winds are whipping around fairly strong. Hopefully, the temps will increase much higher than the current 50F degrees. Not a drop of moisture in the sky. It is chilly, scratch that, it is cold in SoWal. We should all be thankful that the cold winds from the north are here because they are also responsible for pushing Hurr Wilma away from us. It looks like we will miss Hurr Wilma completely, except for higher surf and cool clouds.

I'm going to have to tie weights on my puppies for the next walk around the block. They were about to become "puppy kites" on the first walk. Glad I threw in a jacket. It's really pretty though.

seems to be about 10 degrees difference between here and there - it was about 40 here and still windy - and this is the second night after the front, so it should be the coldest one - now where'd I put those long johns! oh, a pair of long ski undies - just in time!

I  snowboarding!

The huge, almost vertical monster pile of sand for constructing the gate overpass in PCB just down Thomas Drive was totally way too tempting and as I was on my way to the airport and I had my snowboard and boots in the truck with me, so, yes, I have snowboarded (sandboarded at least) in Florida!

After that they had a sign up for no tresspassing.

I was also been in PCB when it snowed and you can see a difference between the white snow and the white sand.

I woke up, took out Molly and thought Wilma had come through here! The wind chill must have been in the 30's! Of course, fur clad Molly wanted to roam around everywhere and I kept saying..."Come on, Momma's COLD!!!

Be careful out the gttbm, B&G!

Just got back from the second romp around the neighborhood. Like Molly, they are loving this cool air.:clap_1:

Doesn't quite feel like there should be a hurricane tearing up south florida does it? Here in alabama it is nice and cool with a constant north wind. Nice!

I'm trying to figure out how to get a fishing rod in there. I can do the square box cut and paste photoshop thing but I'm not good enough for the fishing rod

If it's any consolation, it's about 37 right now in SW Ohio - nice damp cold ;-)

Thanks OBB for getting us back to the task at hand- the weather!

Although I'm sure helping LL's avatar figure out a way to hold a pole is riveting reading...

Yes, that does make me feel a touch better about our currently chilly, 56F degrees. Burrhh! (insert blue smilie wearing fur coat here)

You are right- it is a crappy old day! Cool and damp. Yuk.

There are some beautiful leaves here, but they are being rained and blown off. Hope we get a few sunny days before everything turns to gray!

Got to spend this weekend in SoWal, mostly with my sweet mother and my sweet girls. This morning before I headed for home I walked down to GB. Not a soul on the beach and it was so beautiful. Not too chilly either. I had my shorts on. It was paradise. The water was dark tourquoise. Beautiful. Thanks for the pics from the 23rd. :clap_1: Back to work tomorrow. 19 days and counting!
