[beachcombeer]

Thinking of staying at magnolia cottages in june. any input? is there still construction in front of it? can golf carts be rented and used to go to beach access? is it far from the beach?

no golf carts, but the beach access is located very close, directly on the south side of 30A. The front building on 30A is still under construction, but very little activity at present. At least one community pool in the middle of the cottages, and I am thinking that there are two, but maybe that second is not constructed yet. Cannot recall. The cottages are pretty cool, most with porches looking over the "green area," which is mostly small Pine Trees and Oaks, giving a nice quite place to hang out.

We were there last September and found the area quiet and quaint. The beach access is close--depending on how far your cottage is back in the n'hood. I would guess ours was about 300 yards. There are quite a few steps down to the beach at that location.

We had a comfortable cottage, at a good value. We unfortunately had a very dirty rental and the sofas were so stained it was gross. Other than that, we enjoyed that location alot.

There was construction going on when we were there, but we were not close to the construction so it didn't bother us. The benefit was the workers would typically stop traffic for us to cross---yea....
