View Full Version : ECA boring site
There is a new sign on 393 South of 98 that states ECA Boring site. Does anyone know what this is? They are back in the scrub brush maybe 100 feet off the road and had some type of short derrick set up like maybe they were drilling into the soil for something. Just curious.

That's where the new Publix is going. So, my guess is that they are checking so the engineers know what they are dealing with when it's foundation time. Just an edgamacated guess!!

Sounds like a site survey to me. They generally need to know a rough makeup of what's under the ground for engineering purposes. Usually don't have to do this for a house, but large commercial stuff is usually require it.

I read the title of this thread and just thought you were talking about a site that wasn't very interesting....
(I crack myself up.)

Me too:wave:
I'd have to be a whole lot duller to have to post a thread about another thread being boring. But hey...made ya look!
