Hey everyone! I'm new here to the forum. I've been a lurker for several months now, just getting to know the people and the area. Now I need help so i'm officially a member now. Still trying to figure out how to work this whole posting thing.
We are moving to the area end of March,or beginning of April. We have a 5 yr old son who will be starting the summer VPK program on June 16th but will need short term childcare for him for a couple of months. We pay $85 a week now for his preschool and cannot afford alot. Depending on our jobs, we would need childcare during the week. My husband will hopefully be working for the Sowal fire dept. if all goes well with his interview next week. He will work 24hrs on and 48 hrs off. So I would need someone to watch him till my husband gets off work and every third day he works. Let me know if you can help or if you know someone who can and how much you would charge and where you could watch him at. If at your home, what is your address. Thank you very much. God has been so good so far to lay everything in our laps. But this has been a deadend for childcare.:bang:
Anyone would make a killing if they came in and opened a daycare or dermatology office.

Good luck finding daycare. Someone could open up a daycare if land wasn't so expensive. That is the excuse I get though. You will find that it is one of the downfalls to living in this area.

Have you tried www.sittercity.com, that's a really good site for looking for babysitters. Also I have experience babysitting. You can contact via this message board or at sarairayne@aol.com

I'm not sure what school you child is going to, but a lot of the schools have a SPICE program offered through the school. Good priced, and seems to be a good alternative. If nothing else, I would contact your local school district. Sometimes they have a list of daycare providers locally. www.sittercity.com (http://www.sittercity.com) also has a lot of sitters. Don't be put off by what the website says they each charge, you have to contact them and ask them yourself. Apparently the website automatically assumes a fee, which is not accurate, based on the sitter's experience. Good luck and be choosy.
