Pizza by the Sea: great pizza, very fair prices, and friendly service: will definitely go back.

My Daddy's Cheescake: heavenly desserts, very attentive and helpful staff, another repeat.

Sugar Pies: good food, great location and fun staff. Will go again.

Amore', my favorite pizza. Other family member preferred Pizza by the Sea, but we will frequent both when in the area.

Wild Olives: I love, love thier tuna salad. I would drive miles for it.

Shades on the Loop: not gourmet fare, but really good food, wonderful service, especially their manager. He was all over the place making sure everyone was well taken care of. Very clean and friendly establishment. My husband really liked this place, all the TVs and beer selection I am sure had nothing to do with it.

Watercolor Publix, one of the nicest groceries I have ever shopped in, and their Key Lime Pie is award winning, D&K's still takes the prize for me, but this was unbelieveable for grocery fare pie.

The only disappointment, sweet tea everywhere is very high for the amount you get, even with refills. I think I am switching to water.

Some of the places we had planned were scrapped due to the monsoon rain and we had dinner in our cottage.

All in all a very pleasant dining week on 30-A and we still have many places on our list to try next trip.

Thanks for the reviews!

I don't like paying $3 for tea. I guess there's good profit in beverages and I'm sure many places need the revenue.

Hey Minnie. Sounds like you had a nice visit, plus got to get a bite or two of good food.

How's daughter?

Though there are some people like mister mouse who darn well get their $3 worth when they order sweet tea. It's like liquid crack to the man.

We did have a very nice visit, even with the rain being at the Beach is so much better than anywhere else. Stayed in Magnolia Cottages in Seacrest, first time in that area and like it very much. Very quiet and restful, beautiful small development.

Did not get to visit some of the dining places on our list to hubbie getting sick from the pollen, me getting some type of stomach bug for a day, :( and then the monsoon rain set in for 2 days. Was glad for the Publix and the fact we liked our cottage as we dined in for 2 days.

My daughter is having a great time, loves Seaside, everyone has been so nice to her and she met someone famous yesterday who was very nice too.

She is also really enjoying her condo at Gulf Place, great location, and wonderful shops and places to eat.

Also some news for those in the Gulf Place area, what used to be Cricket's is going to soon be a bike shop for bike rentals. Hepburn's is giving up the space and just having the one store.

Next visit is in April, can wait and I am sure the weather will be heavenly.

My husband too. I never gave a thought to the cost with a meal. I stopped in one day at a sandwich place and got an iced tea to go and I guess just paying for a small glass to go, put me in sticker shock. But as Kurt said it comes with the complete package and I understand that. I guess it was more I paid the same price the day before for a gallon at Publix and then paid that for a small glass and it caught me off guard.

But I will gladly pay that price to have a glass of tea with a view.

I live in Ponce de Leon but work in Grayton Beach and had Pizza by the Sea for the first time since working here about two months ago. I absolutely love it. Can't beat a lunch buffet for $8.00 and you get a rice krispie treat!!

If a person looks at the price of drinks, tea, cola, etc., when ordering in a restaraunt... they may walk out. The business knows what they are doing. If you are not a having fire water, or such, ask for water with a slice of lemon. There should be no charge... if there is, you know where not to eat.
