Not exactly in Walton Co., but we dined there last Thursday after our Act4Murder performance, and all I can say is "Zowie!"

The "Zowie!" may be referencing the price.

Just to balance my comments- I need to go there again . I went for brunch a while back and for two of us paid 84$. It was well spent I had onion soup equal to the best I have ever had (Oaxaca, Mx), and exquisite grits and grillades. I would love to go for dinner service sometime.

Dinner is fantastic, and well worth the price.

Haha, it's tempting, but I work Friday. Ah, the life of a restaurant worker. Gotta love it.

We just had a terrible experience there last night. We arrived around 7pm and the place was half empty. We were told there would be a 5 minute wait, and were "strongly invited" to have a drink at the bar.

We sat at the bar for 15-20 minutes, during which time I enjoyed a delightful Bananas Foster Cocktail and hubby had a beer. I also noted the two surveillance cameras above the bar, and the electronic pour system that limits how much alcohol the bartender can dispense per pour.

The restaurant looked absolutely gorgeous, and the food smelled good. But it was half empty, andI noted that the party next to us had also been parked at the bar long enough for more than one round of drinks.

We decided to leave, and a young lady insisted they'd have a table for us "in 5 minutes". I asked if they had that many 8pm reservations - and she explained that they "serve as a team" and didn't have enough servers to seat the whole room.

It just felt weird! So, we went to Camille's and had a nice dinner. Shame, I've heard Royal B's food is outstanding.

The Ocean Club is a treat during snowbird season. We went for early bird specials last year and couldn't get over the sea of gray/white/blue hair. The table next to us got up to leave and the table was cleared and reset before the poor guy could get up from the booth. The food is usually pretty good, never had any complaints.

Sounds like The Lighthouse in Destin. (Insert Gratuitious Michigan reference) It was like we'd stumbled across the Southern equivalent of Bill Knapp's.

Seriously, how often do you go into a restaurant and keep a mental note to watch for oxygen lines anytime you get up. :idontno:
