I first heard this on Fox News this morning. But thinking that they certainly got it wrong I started searching the web. Evidently it is good to be a super delegate.

Another misleading thread title....well done, oh mighty Spinmaster! You are the Luke to Karl Rove's Yoda, aren't you?

Superdelegates get campaign cash

Many of the superdelegates who could well decide the Democratic presidential nominee have already been plied with campaign contributions by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, a new study shows.

"While it would be unseemly for the candidates to hand out thousands of dollars to primary voters, or to the delegates pledged to represent the will of those voters, elected officials serving as superdelegates have received about $890,000 from Obama and Clinton in the form of campaign contributions over the last three years," the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics reported today.

It's the way things are done in Washington. The strong help the weak to get support and good committee assignments. I remember a whole chapter of my Political Science 101 text was devoted to this practice. Savory? Probably not...but that's just one more reason we need Senator Obama to be elected. He has promised to change the way things are done in Washington and force the lobbyists and special interests to release their grip on the reigns of power. It's sad how everything in Washington revolves around raising campaign money -- even from each other.

Has the Senator released his plan to change the way things are done in Washington and how will he force the lobbyist and special interest to release their grip on the reings of power? Thats a pretty large promise.

Top secret..like Rush Limbaugh's secret advocacy for John McCain that I heard Limbaugh blathering about yesterday. No defense can be planned if they don't know where you are going to attack.

Once again $ subverts the political progress!

How is a "campaign contribution" to a super delegate anything but a bribe? :idontno:
