Many of us are trying to eat more locally and regionally (FL, GA, AL)-grown and harvested foods, so here's an update on what's available this week:

For the Health of It, Blue Mountain Beach

tomatoes, navel oranges, strawberries, turnips, green beans, arugula, fall mix, grape tomatoes, green cabbage, red cabbage

Perennials and Natives by a Girl Named Toni

peppers, strawberries, collards, tomatoes, onions, lettuce (romaine and green leaf), cut-your-own herbs

Supporting our local and regional farms give us fresher food that has only been shipped a short distance to market, and buying from local independent businesses helps to keep our hard-earned dollars within our local economy. Enjoy!

Toni's strawberries are yummy!

They don't look all that different from the Publix strawberries but they sure TASTE different!

And neither I nor the cold snaps have killed the herbs I got from her!

And where are these places located for those of us that do not know?

For The Health of It is on 30-A in Blue Mountain Beach. A Girl Named Toni's is off of 283 (Grayton Beach road) down a road by the Sherwin-Williams store. I found my collards for New Year's at Toni's.
