What are five things you'll never be without in your beach fridge? Ours are:
* Frozen limeade for World's Best Margaritas
* Deviled eggs
* Our favorite coffee blend, Graffeo, brought from home
* Key Lime Pie from the D&K Cafe
* A big jug of sweet ice tea

Yes, we'll be doing lots of jello shots in a couple weeks if that Red Tide doesn't go away!

I make sure I keep some stuff in a locked pantry for when I/we go to the cottage and need a quick cheap meal and am too tired to go grocery shopping, especially after arriving from a flight and I'm in a hurry to get to the cottage/porch/beach. I keep cans of tuna, cans of anchovies, jars of olives, dried tomatoes, dried Italian herbs, some hot pepper flakes, salt and pepper, olive oil, pasta, and a bottle of wine at the cottages. Then, when I'm there alone and want a quick but delicious meal, I make pasta puttanesca. I don't make it at home so it always seems special when I'm at the cottages. It works well for dining alone or with guests (although I ask guests if they want the anchovies).

I love jello shots, but have never made them. Got a favorite recipe you'd like to share?
We will be in Seagrove 10/8-10/22 and can't wait to get there. Last year we only got 2 days worth of SoWal before Ivan ran us out. Hope for better weather this year!
Also, bringing the motorcycle for the first time. Anybody down there ride?

You better cover the face unless you want to eat Love Bugs.
I have never made Jello shots (stop laughing, I am serious), but you probably just add vodka or rum to the jello in place of water.

Milk, Pinot Grigio, water, jello shots.
Very good -- looks like you covered the 4 basic food groups.
When we go, we have to keep our beer in coolers - the fridge just isn't big enough to hold it all.

What's in my beach fridge?
Beer in cans for the beach and pool- beer in bottles for on the balcony and inside the house - water - bottle of wine - milk - caffeine diet coke.
Seems we are always running to buy more beer and water - but never any food.

Your fridge is EXACTLY like ours! Though every now and then we'll throw in a cup or two of yogurt (Just so we can feel virtuous.) :clap_1:

Don't ever eat the whole pan if you make the jello shots in a pan, because you will be:puke: much like I did one time!!

always: water, gatorade, beer, a pack of publix veggie sushi (to be eaten before sunset dog-walk on the beach) , mustard (for crab cakes & sandwiches), eggs/tortillas/greenchilies (for breakfast tacos). maybe an orange-cranberry muffin from Beach Java. everything else varies.

Kathy - you ate the whole pan by yourself??? That is impressive.
The real question is - what's on the outside?

I was with friends watching an Alabama, Tennessee game. I just lost track of how much I had eaten. The next morning when we got up, there was green and red jello on the ceiling. I hope I wasn't involved in putting it there, but I probably was!!!!!
