I'll be on-air today from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. as part of the 30A Radiothon, which is noon - noon Friday - Saturday! I'll be speaking with Toni Wheeler of Perennials and Natives about the joys of eating locally, and with Chandra Hartman of SWELL about upcoming environmental gatherings and her exciting new research into a local alternative currency system.

We'll be playing a little environmental-themed music along the way, and all the while trying to raise money to support our local community radio station. Later in the hour we'll also speak with coastal expert Andy Coburn of Western Carolina University about what's happening to our beloved beaches with the clash between sea level rise and coastal development.

Please listen in at 107.1, or listen on-line with streaming audio at www.30aradio.org (http://www.30aradio.org/) You can make a contribution on line at the station website or by following the link: CLICK HERE TO DONATE to 30A RadioThon 2008 (https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_xclick&business=sales%4030aradio%2eorg&item_name=30A%20RadioThon%20Christian%20Wagley%20E mail%20Donation&item_number=CWagleyEmail&no_shipping=0&no_note=1&tax=0&currency_code=USD&lc=US&bn=PP%2dDonationsBF&charset=UTF%2d8) on behalf of Christian Wagley

Sounds awesome!

Try to work in a SoWal.com reference and of course be sure to refer to South Walton as SoWal. You might get a T-shirt.

Free T-shirts to the interviewees too, hmmm??? I'll definitely be directing people to SoWal.com to take my survey, if they are interested in complementary currency or they could just be survey addicts too, whichever.

I've got it in stereo - the radio station is across the hall from my office AND I'm listening on the radio. I think they just had their first give-away because of the first $100 donation of the day!!!!
