is on right now. Tonight after 10PM in North America. I've already seen 5 in about 5 minutes of watching. See for directions on how to find the "radiant point" that appears to be the origin:

Near as I can figure based on the website and my old boyscout handbook (lord that thing comes in handy, mom's read your son's it's fun). At anyrate, you would want to stand facing approximately east and look almost straight up. Orion should be at about 1:30-1:45, directly to the left should be the spot for the most meteors.

We just walk outside in the driveway when it's dark, look up, and somebody usually sees something.

Typo! Space bar issues. My eyes are so freakin' dry I can barely focus. Might be time to hang it up for the night. :(

I hate to interrupt up all the fun Miss Kitty, jdarg, SWGB, and DD are having...
But after about an hour of watching, we've now seen about 25 or 30. SWGB has the center identified correctly. It's supposed to peak at about 2AM.
These are all coming from the same area, unlike the usual nightly random shooting stars.

I just ran outside, stood in the driveway looking up and saw a bunch. I would have just laid down in the driveway for a while and enjoyed the show, but I'm afraid all the neighborhood snakes, spiders and scorpions would come for a visit.
