You gotta feel for the folks in OK. Ice storms are a complete pain.
I lived in Memphis for the big 1994 ice storm that left 300,000 electric customers out of power for a week. Luckily, my 1925-vintage house had radiator heat that only needed gas to work. And we had a gas range, too. We fired up the 1000w generator and ran the refrigerator, a 13" TV, and two light bulbs. For a week!
It was really sickening to stand out in the street at 3AM and listen to the limbs falling and watch all the green and blue flashes from the transformers blowing.
