This in a very intriguing idea of a way in which to help educate the world. Not to take away from the concept, but it seems that we forget to educate so many children in our own country with today's gov't schools. If you look at other countries in comparison to the US, we are not keeping pace on an educational level.

On a similar note, I saw that Always is helping to pad the world, with the profits received from selling Always' pads. So in a sense, you get one, give one when you buy their products. I wonder how many people would rather pay half the price, and donate freely on their own. ???

One learning child. One connected child. One laptop at a time.

The mission of One Laptop per Child (OLPC) is to empower the children of developing countries to learn by providing one connected laptop to every school-age child. In order to accomplish our goal, we need people who believe in what we’re doing and want to help make education for the world’s children a priority, not a privilege.
