Ever Wonder Who Invests WalCo's Money and the Rate of Return?
Here's (http://www.waltontaxpayers.org/PDF%20Files/Mar%2006%20Inv%20Report.pdf) some interesting info. Notice that the average rates of return were less than 3% on the $80 million, and these accounts were invested with Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, UBS, and AmSouth. Wow! I think I did about double that in a CD. Wonder who gets to handle WalCo's accounts at those places?

Wow! That is a REALLY crappy rate of return! I get 4% just on my backup savings account and better on my highly amateurish and illogical stock market investments.

Seriously, who is dealing with the county's money? I keep waiting for the punchline. :idontno:
