Creamy Pumpkin Bisque with fresh baked Tarantula Garlic Crackers.

Marie Laveau Diablo
Spell casting Scallops and Shrimp sauteed over "devil hair" pasta dripping with pepper vodka red cream sauce with a hint of crushed red pepper.
Voodoo Eyes
Deep chocolate fudge brownie balls dipped in warm white chocolate with a raspberry coulis sauce and served in a Martini glass.

Just got back from D&K's. WOW !!! Had the Spell Casting Halloween Dinner special. Scrumptious !! The restaurant was full, the fog was rolling in, the pirates were out in full force, and all the LIVING DEAD were there enjoying themselves and having funn with the patrons. The spirit of Marie Laveau Diablo was present. Definitely going back for Halloween Eve. Who knows who will drop by. SoWallers....this is one dinner special you don't want to miss !! Did I mention how good the food was ? :clap::clap::clap:

It was so nice to sit and talk with ya'll. It was one of those nights when no one wanted to leave.

I am so glad you were able to see it day and night....what a difference. Both great, but the night is a totally New Orleans voodoo experience.:yikes:

We will have to get together again and talk movies!;-)

P.S. Wasn't that cool of Dr. B coming in costume with his family. That was one incredible costume.....he's coming back with the whole costume intact.:eek: He told me what he didn't wear and it's really scary!!!!

Hi Kat! We had an awesome time last night! Thank you so much for accomodating such a large group and putting up with our rearranging. We apologize to any other diners that had to listen to the extra noise. We had a large number of children who are pretty well behaved, but they are kids.... They inhaled the chicken and fettucine, and bloody eyes dessert, and then went out on the beach. The waiter, or should I say pirate, did a great job at serving us and working around our extra chairs. Did I mention that we loved the Halloween Dinner special and all the decorations? The cafe is just one of those comfortable places with great food and service.

I'm afraid I didn't get any pictures last night. We watched the sunset before dinner and I wished I had a camera for that. The beach, sunset and weather last night was one of those nights that makes you say "This is why we moved here.". A great night all around.
