My husband and I are thinking of coming down to Sowal this weekend for the Rosemary Beach 5K. Please let me know if you have availability for a 1 or 2 bedroom place. We are hoping to find something for $100 or less per night, if possible. Thanks!

There are a few units at the Village of South Walton that are in your price range but that have a "window" facing an internal hallway. So make sure you don't rent one of those. We rented one and decided to check out the morning after we arrived. We felt imprisoned with the draperies closed all of the time and no view to even see if it was day or night, sunny or raining.

It's just been a month ago that my husband and I left from down there to come back home. Yet I wish we were able to come back down there now. Nothing exciting to do here in Memphis ever. We are going to try a June trip this time possibly.

I always look forward to visiting Memphis! I'm looking forward to a business meeting downtown last week in October. I love Beale Street, Rendevouz (and whatever that other great barbeque place is nearby), the Peabody, Coyote Ugly....can't wait to get back down there! I can understand though that the fun may wear off if you live there. It's a great place to visit though:clap:
The only place where I can't imagine the fun ever wearing off is for the lucky who live in SoWal! We're heading down for a quick trip this weekend....some work, some play...hope to find time for a little (maybe a lot) of beer, brat and the Margaritaville polka in Panama City on Saturday!

Hey JaxGirl, I'd  to rent you our 2 bedroom townhouse. It's right across 30-A from the beach and within walking distance of Rosemary too. Our HOA requires a 3 night min. though. Please check it out at www.seacrestinsouthwalton.com (http://www.seacrestinsouthwalton.com). Pardon my ad I'm about to do a little editing. ;-) Please click on 'photos' at top of the page to see inside. :D

We have a "Bed and Breakfast" unit at Village of South Walton that overlooks the middle fountains. Sorry you got one of the internal units.

luvthebeach, there are many great bbq places here. Don't know whether you are talking about Corkys or not. But there is Central BBQ, Showboats, which is mine and my husband's favorite, Tops, etc. Too many here to name. I don't know the names of all of them. We only eat Showboats, and Corkys on occasion. But I've had Central BBQ and like it. I for one time would like to visit St. Louis, but cannot get my husband up there.

Thanks for your responses! We only need a rental for 2 nights, this Friday and Saturday. Curtis, it looks like your place is booked, is that correct?

Nice place Curtis. And a good rate for such a nice place. If it is booked up I can understand why.

Thank you both very much for the compliments. We try our hardest so guests will find it nice and relaxing. We are booked this weekend with a recent confirmation. Please let us know if we can help out in the future. Have a great trip and day.:D
