Just wanted to share a bit of news with you!
The Seaside Times received two Excellence in Journalism awards from the Florida Press Club (woo-hoo!).
And, as of next week, Rosemary Beach will have its very own newspaper. The inaugural issue of the Rosemary Thymes features a cover photo taken by Kurt.
Check the papers out the next time you are down that way and let me know what you think.
Thanks!

The Seaside Times received two Excellence in Journalism awards from the Florida Press Club (woo-hoo!).
 Congratulations on the amazing awards! We're so proud that the Seaside Times has stepped up to a new level of journalism under your leadership.
BTW, those awards should finally put to rest any naysayers who imply that the Seaside Times is just another "developer's newspaper" to sell real estate. Too many other traditional neighborhood developments think having a figurehead founder, a downtown gathering green area, and a newspaper are the ticket to real estate sales...
But I digress...congrats on the awards!

Congrats on the awards! Just curious, what categories were they in, and were they for any particular coverage or just general excellence? I'd like to hear more.

Thanks for all the kind words!
Email editor@susanvallee.com for ad rate sheets. I can be reached on my cell at 217-7542.
It will be distributed through Rosemary and a few gathering spots along 30A - Grayton, Seagrove, etc.
The awards were in the categories of education and feature writing. Yeah, I was pretty happy about it - especially since we were competing with "real" newspapers.
Thanks to all readers!
