Not long til the fall pompano/redfish run....catch one for supper and release the rest. Anyone catching them yet? Lots of sand fleas in surf's edge.

Thanks for the reply. The window limit has worked well. A good example of proper management. Not that many years ago when reds were endangered.

A few hours ago, a guy caught what he thinks was a Bull Shark, just under 4ft in length, on the Bay at the end of Cabbage Rose Ln.

Did he release it?

Did he release it?You'd be looking at a photo of the shark if he didn't. He wasn't fishing for sharks.

Yes, Pompano are being caught. Lots of ladyfish. Catches of Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, and Redfish have also been reported lately. The water seems to be cooling a bit.

The cooler temps are starting to work. Caught a pompano on a sand flea late yesterday in ths surf. Understand the reds are being caught in the bays.
