Added bonus is if this is done in the right place, you could catch the fish as they bubbled up and have lunch after surfing when you had worked up an appetite!

That's what I was wondering--would one not need a permit for this sort of things? I'm being a pain, but I have to ask--what's to keep the combination of a current and a slow fuse from bringing that too close to bridges, levies/canal walls, etc.?

Seems like a lot of trouble for such a short ride!

(I want in when y'all decide to try it.)

I hate to be the downer here but I seriously have to question whether or not this really would work and if what we're seeing isn't some kind of computer generated filmwork. If you check ou the waves crashing in the background it sure seems a bit computermade to me. Its hard to get water to look real by programming it and IF thats waht they've done they did a helluva good job. Of couse a company like Quiksilver would have the cash to do it right. If it's for real, does anyone know where to buy some dynamite?

I cannot tell whether the video has been toyed with, but I doubt Quicksilver would stamp their name on illegal activities such as igniting three sticks of dynamite in a public area of a city, potentially doing harm to all of the life in the small lake. No one said it was real.
