Hey All...
I'm just in from ATL for a week or so and brought all my gear, unfortunately, I'm just about as big of an amateur as there is when it comes to fishing this side of the world. Lakes and rivers in North Georgia are my norm.
Any ideas as to where to go, (I'm staying in SeaGrove), or what kind of tackle/bait to use, and when I should go would be great. I have great memories of landing countless Pompano casting sand fleas out in the surf over the last several years, but I have been told my timing is poor for any chance at the Pompano.
For that matter, anybody wants to join me, I'll buy the beer for your knowledge!
I've got wheels so I can go anywhere nearby although I prefer to stay near 30A.
Thanks in advance! I hope to have some great pics to share each day if I have any success!

Here are some threads for you that might help. You can also search for surf fishing for some more. Good luck. Happy fishing.

yo junkie, the surf is kinda wild today, maybe you would be better fishing the 331 bridge, the gulf is predictable, if the wind blows in, so do the baitfish, but we are getting a lot of crud along with it. kayak fishing beyond the breakers looks ok, Yellowfin can help you there. some of the dune lakes might work, and if you can access a boat, then go to the bay. later in the week, look to fish the surf from dawn til about 9 or 10, then it gets a little hot. good luck and tight lines!
