I've lived in both places and seem lots of football on each side, up close and personal. I think there's truth to it. They really DON'T care on the west coast. Except for those rabid USC boosters. :roll: What he's saying is that it's all about expectation, and he's right. :idontno:

There is some truth to it, but he did not state it very well.

I agree that SEC football is very important to the Southeast, but then so are other sports to other areas of the country and world.

Basically what he is saying is that most people in CA could care less about any sport. I mean good grief they had to get "Posh" to come over from England to make anyone out there even attend a soccer game.;-)

I do doubt if many Californians take their babies home from the hospital in their school colors. ;-)

We did resist until her first halloween and then she had to have the UT cheerleader outfit and then she grew up and went to Ole Miss.

If he wants to say that folks on the West Coast are apathetic, he's welcome to that opinion. But instead he painted Southerners as imbred idiots who are ignorant of everything but football.

Wow! I agree that Southerners take their college football much more seriously than other regions, but some of his comments were WAY off base!

His valid point that it is more important here because there are more good teams here got lost in the fried chicken and reconstruction arguments. :roll:
