Moll Drive / Park

I heard that the county is planning on a park on Moll Drive, across from Helen McCall. PARCEL NUMBER 34-2S-20-33270-038-0000 was sold to the county in February. Does anyone have any details of the plans for this property?

Yes, Helen McCall is being expanded to include the newly acquired 10 acres to the west. They are in the planning stage right now. The BCC approved getting a master plan of the park created. The new 10 acres will probably include a grayt playground, including some type of aquatic features such as fountains, a running trail for the cross country teams in the area, and a football field. There is a bit more room for additional recreational facilities, but it hasn't been decided exactly what yet. Many of us would like to see a community swimming pool and recreational building. It's not known if there is enough room yet.
