I know it's been a dry year for the area thus far, but I've noticed a lot of scattered t-storms in the forecasts as of late ... including this weekend. Any local insight on what to expect? Have they been the kind of storms that roll through during day and leave the rest of the afternoon/evening rain free?
We're heading down Friday, leaving Tuesday.

Highs around 90 - 30-40% chance of scatter thunderstorms each day. Pretty normal actually.

showers have been eractic lately. Last week, we received afternoon showers for half of the week, starting around 230pm. Also received some night time showers. Yesterday, early morning, we received a heavy downpour with strong wind for about five minutes, then nothing the rest of the day.
Cumulus and Cumulonimbus clouds are scattered throughout the sky starting around noon. That has happend nearly every day for a couple of weeks. They can produce some rain and major thunderstorms. However, stick around long enough and these microstorms will blow on through. Just stay away from the lightning and you will be alright. Go paint some pottery (Fired Up, located in Seaside) or read a book when the rain comes down, then go back to doing nothing when the rain stops.

It will be sunny and hot too!
Seriously, we are at the time of year where the forecast is the same every single day- partly sunny, hot, chance of storms. I think the weather people should take their vacations at this time of year, since their jobs must be very monotonous now (barring a hurricane of course).

Why do you think the weather reports are the same everyday? They are on vacation, and are on call for storm alerts.:funn:
