Wow! I'm tired but happy. 11 groups of people through my open house today at 119 Wiggle at Rosemary Beach! This is with Rosemary confiscating my sign too! I thought one of the signs were on Seacrest's corner but guess I was too close to the Rosemary border. They did deliver the sign to my open house, even with my balloons still attached and still inflated! I was happy to see that much traffic - now hopefully, one of them will want to make an offer!
Congrats Supermom on a successful open house! How can you have an open house in Rosemary if they don't allow signs? You'd think they would want to help realtors sell the houses...

Thanks! Advance advertising, people who live there, buyers who watched me put the signs out and pick them up - the one by Inlet Beach, I had a couple ask if I could show the house as I was putting the sign in my trunk - of course I showed them!
I think the onsite sales offices like to have control. Maybe they want the buyers to think they have all the listings and that you need to go through them? The more sales that are made, the better for the community. I would think it would be to their benefit to have less competition! The other side to that is that I believe that most onsite sales people can not sell any other listing other than their brokers/developers. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
I can see the theory of not having "permanent" signs in the ground. But open house signs are put out before they start and are picked up after it's over.

That is a good turnout.
One reason for their not wanting signs is that when people drive or walk through the neighborhood, it looks like an economically thriving community, with no homes for sale, unlike Seacrest Beach, located next door.

Correct SJ, FYI the DRB & BOD have changed the sign policy at Seacrest. I know some agents already have the small signs in place. All flyer boxes will be gone. I belive they have until mid June? to have everything replaced. I personally can not wait. That is a good turnout.
