My family and hubby's family are all going to be in Seacrest the same week. Long story, but we were not able to get homes in the same neighborhood. We are staying in a home in Seacrest Beach resort. With that enormous pool, would it be a big deal if we had some of the other family members swim with us? We just want the kid cousins to be able to play at the pool together.

It all depends on how many guests you have. As long as you are not excessive and are considerate of the other guests actually staying there I doubt you would have a problem. An extra kid or two, ok - hosting your own personal pool party and hogging the pool, not so bueno!

I find it very considerate that you would ask this question.
Some wouldn't bother at all.
Having said that, I think it would be best to ask your rental agent or the owner what the Association pool regulations are, and is this permissible on a temporary basis. There are considerations like insurance and occupancy regulations.
Most Associations that are mainly rentals and their owners want to accomadate their guests, so I hope you have a favorable response. Perhaps they may ask a waiver be signed that in the event of injury, that they are not responsible for stated guests not contracted if it's already not included in your rental agreement.
Good luck, welcome and hope you have a grayt family vacation!

They used to issue arm bands for that pool which could make bringing in guests difficult.

I own several properties in Seacrest Beach and I personally dont care if you bring friends AS LONG AS THEY FOLLOW RULES! I am sure some owners would not care so much...

I have never been issued an arm band for this pool. They have always been cards. One year the cards were attached to an arm band..I am guessing this is what you are thinking of...LOL! Every year the color changes on the card....

I think it would be fine to bring a reasonable number of guests to the pool if you are enjoying the pool with them and everyone is behaving well. We have a pool at our place and it would be fine with me, though we haven't discussed this as an Association yet. But considerate guests should be no problem at all and it's always good for people to experience a place -- next time they may be renters/owners (one family who rented one of our cottages a few years ago just bought one of their own in our community) and at least they'd spread words of good will about the community. I agree that it was nice of you to even ask the question.

We have a house there too. I'm with IBD, as long as it's not excessive and everyone follows the rules, it should be fine. I have seen folks escorted out before for not following the rules. Make sure you have your pool pass with you. They do check.

Thanks for the replies! It wouldn't be anywhere close to a party. Just 2 extra kids and an extra parent or 2. We can't wait to visit with them and get the kids together. They live in CO and we are in MO, so we don't see a lot of each other. We'll check with the owner and don't worry, we're big rule followers. :) I'm sure we'll all be meeting up at the beach some days too. That's where I'll want to be.
