House Beside Hilton House

I'm sure someone here knows what is going on with this house. It is covered with sheets or tarps on all the walls and it looks like the windows are boarded up. The beach access has not been built back since the hurricanes of 2005.

Anyone? Beuller?

I think they had some mold issues which they were repairing.

Mold remediation, replace windows and a complete renovation. What's more interesting is what's happening on the other side of the neighborhood. Two new mansions, one already under construction. This neighborhood may end up being where all the really spectacular homes are built.

I was hoping they were shrinking that house. It would be really cool if they "unveiled" it and it was normal size, then they could start shrinking the other huge ones. :idontno: It's kind of jarring to see such giant buildings surrounded by such beautiful scenery. Just MHO and my 2cents.:roll:

I don't think you'll see much "shrinking" anytime soon. If anything, just the opposite trend seems to be taking hold. The minimum building requirement at Paradise by the Sea is currently 3250 sq ft. and it seems most owners who are planning to build are proposing something 2 to 3+ times that size. Personally, I'd like to see all the other owners in this neighborhood just hold on to the land as an investment and not build. I fear my view and others will soon be just a memory. :idontno: Unfortunately, nothing lasts forever. :(

Does anyone know if the more conventional looking concrete building that is going in between the Hilton house and the mansion is part of the Hilton house compound? Is it the pool house perhaps (it looks like a "normal" size regular house)?

I believe that structure is on the Hilton property. It looks like possibly either a small guest house or garage.
