Dirty Haze in the Air

Did anyone notice the dirty haze, setting low on the horizon yesterday and today? I wasn't really paying attention yesterday, but I do recall seeing it. Today, I noticed it off in the distance in the eastern sky toward PCB. Has there been some prescribed burning lately, which caused this?

Something happened on Eglin Reservation today- Mr. Mouse said it was hazy and smelled smokey, and at one point in the afternoon, a whole bunch of fire trucks went tearing up Range Road, apparently into the smoke.

You could see the brown clouds all the way across the bay and in Destin/Ft. Walton.

We saw a lot of burning on the way down. Didn't seem like controlled burns BECAUSE THERE WAS NO ONE THERE TO CONTROL IT. A lot of smoke near Samson.:idontno:

A few weeks ago when we drove over to Appalach they were burning all along the AFB east of PCB. It scared me at first...then I saw a bunch of 4-wheelers patroling up and down. Maybe they are doing more of the controlled burning over that way?:idontno:
