Hello, I have been in the process of trying to open Weatherall Fine Art for some time now. I have reached a point where it is time to get insurance. This is where things come to a grind.:bang: I am having no luck.

Is there anyone with a recommendation on getting insurance on a mixed use facility. It is an art gallery on the first floor and 2/2 beach rental on the 2nd floor. To date, I have found no one that will write it...............Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Curtis

Well, funny thing happened. Just as I posted I got a call about being insured. Looks like whenever I need anything in the future I'll just post on SOWAL.COM

Hey, Curtis, we must be cousins. My maternal grandmother was a Weatherall. There can't be that many of us.

Oh, and insurance near the beach? Good luck if you can get it and avoid Citizens (you know, the insuror of last resort). And then you're so happy that you have it that you don't care how much it costs.

Hey, we are so related. I looked it up in the Weatherall family tree. We have the same great-grandfather, George M. Weatherall.

The world just keeps getting smaller. Looks like George M. was my great, great, great grandfather. He was born in 1788 and was one of the original 4 brothers that moved from South Carolina to Ponotoc, MS. My great grandfather was Julius Theodore Weatherall and he is buried in Chester, MS.

Glad to know family is nearby. I am sure we will run into one another if we're hanging around SOWAL.

Actually I looked it up again in the Weatherall book. I didn't have enough "greats" in there for me, either. George M. is farther up the ladder for me, too.

Mom and Granny went to the big family reunion years ago in Ponotoc. They had a blast meeting all of the relatives.

:welcome: , cuz!

I just looked it up. He's my great-great-great grandfather, too.

BTW hope you solve your insurance problem. We hold our breaths every year -- never know when you'll get non-renewed because your house is on an unpaved street (pavers don't count) or too far from a main road (excuse me, I can see Highway 30-A from my house!).

Sorry to highjack your thread. I'll stop, and PM you from now on if I wanna talk geneaology.
