The governor signed a bill today which froze property insurance rates and blocked insurers from canceling policies:

"Lawmakers also froze Citizens' rate at 2006 levels, a move that negated planned increases of more than 75 percent."

We were notified by our insurance agent that Citizen's had notified them that they (Citizens) are currently in the process updating their system and locking premiums in at the December, 2006 rates. The agent couldn't tell me how long this would take for consumers to start seeing the refunds.
