Please remember Doug (D&K)and family in Prayer

Please keep Doug and his family in your prayers. His father passed away today and he was able to spend his last hours with him. This is Doug's first loss....and the first is always the hardest...none are easy.

He is in Pensacola and torn between staying for his mother and coming home for Christmas tomorrow morning. The weather is so bad and the drain he's been under makes me NOT want him to drive home tonight.

What a strange Holiday season this has been. Thank you for your comforting words and kindness.:wub: I have copied the poem that was sent to IBD for my own family and friends and plan to read it on Tuesday or Wednesday. I pray God gives me the strength.

OH, I am so saddened by this loss...too much of this in SoWal right now. I know that a very dear friend lost her dad just recently, and she is a lovely person. (God bless Alabama lady!!)

I wish I could say more, but I am totally drained. His Father's wake will be tomorrow night and the funeral Thursday morning.
