Does anyone know who these local fly boys are? contact info? I see them all the time. I'd love to go see them for a little history lesson for the kids. thanks.

If they are the T-6 trainers, they all fly out of Destin.

The North American T-6 "Texan" trainer of the WWII era did in fact have a single radial engine, usually a P&W "Wasp" of about 550 hp. The Navy version of this plane was known as an SNJ.

Not to be confused with the present-day single-turbine T-6 "Texan II" trainer.

If memory serves, one is a local dentist and another is a contractor. Not sure about the third. They certainly enjoy themselves!

A new FBO? Miracle Strip Aviation has some competition, now?

Once you throw in some tax payer money to pay for your business it probably does make sense to go with it.

Many residents have complained over the years that the business only would add more noise to the already loud airport.
Luckily they were poor and without influence so JO was able to steam roll them.
